The FICAC (since 2022) aims to become a space for entertainment and dissemination that, through cinema, revives the old maxim that emphasizes that culture serves to shape consciences. To do this, the FICAC, beyond screening selected cinematography, wants to connect and articulate with both the cultural, educational and social fabric, as well as with the African diaspora residing in Catalonia.
The FICAC does not only seek to raise awareness through the transmission of African filmography, but also wants to bring the reality of the continent closer to the citizens to overcome the stories of a desolate , poor and conflict-ridden Africa . To do this, it proposes a program that pours a positive chromatic range of the neighboring continent. It is time for African cinemas to reveal all their splendor.
